Hello there! I’m a Front-End Developer specialized in transforming digital design concepts into interactive, user-friendly web experiences.
My projects reflect my ability and passion for blending design with functionality. I develop clean, dynamic web and mobile applications using React and JavaScript.
Developed an end-to-end application for the employees and customers of Banyan Air Services, Florida’s largest Fixed-Based Operator (FBO), to streamline the flight reservation process for pilots and manage work orders for internal stakeholders.
The application features push notifications, robust encryption for sensitive data, and an intuitive user registration process, enhancing usability while prioritizing data security.
Built with React and custom design elements, and powered by the SWAPI (Star Wars API), I developed a web application with seamless data integration to explore the Star Wars universe.
The web app features interactive data access for characters, starships, vehicles, and planets
Key challenges included implementing dynamic API fetching with error handling, managing SWAPI’s paginated data, and enhancing the user experience with loading states, error boundaries, and reusable components.
This project is a full-featured Rick and Morty Character Explorer where users can search, filter, and explore information about characters from the popular show Rick and Morty.
Leveraging React, JavaScript ES6+, Material UI, and CSS animations, the project connects with the Rick and Morty API to fetch and display dynamic character data.
My earliest experience with software development began in 2019 when my girlfriend enrolled in a one-day coding bootcamp and shared some of the course materials with me.
Inspired by how much I connected with the material, I began exploring free coding resources like Codecademy and FreeCodeCamp to get started. I quickly realized coding wasn’t just a skill I could observe from afar—it could also be part of my future.
When the COVID-19 pandemic started, I was working as an Associate Banker at Chase but knew I wanted to challenge myself. Taking advantage of my unexpected downtime, I immersed myself in learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through Codecademy and FreeCodeCamp and dedicated countless hours refining my skills. As I advanced in my learning and passion for coding, I realized I needed to push further to truly master development.
In June 2021, I took the leap and joined a 400-hour Full-Stack Developer bootcamp at Ironhack Miami. Over six challenging months, I worked on rigorous projects that honed my abilities, transforming my foundational knowledge into the skills required to build complete applications.
I landed my first Software Developer role at Banyan Air Services before graduating from Ironhack. I had the incredible opportunity to work with a talented team and a mentor who played a pivotal role in shaping my growth.
Over the past three years, I’ve grown into a confident Software Engineer, proud of the skills and knowledge I’ve gained, and always open to learning and improving. I’m excited about the future because, for me, this is just the beginning.
